Rajneeti (“the Game”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a free, fictional political career simulator available at rajneetips.com. This policy explains what information the Game collects, why, how it is protected, and the choices and rights you have. By using the Game you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

The Game is operated by the creator of Rajneeti (the “data controller”). For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

• Account information (only if you choose Google Sign-In): your name, email address, and Google account identifier, received through Google/Supabase authentication. Sign-in is optional — you can play as a guest without an account.
• Gameplay data: the fictional character you create and your saved game progress (in-game choices, metrics, and history).
• Guest identifier: if you play without signing in, a random token is stored in your browser so your saves can be linked to your session.
• Analytics: pseudonymised gameplay events (for example, which screens and options are used, and where players get stuck) used to understand and improve the Game. These are not used to identify you personally.
• Technical & log data: standard server information such as IP address, browser type, and request times, used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.

We do not collect payment information (the Game is free), and we do not knowingly collect special-category data such as your real religion, caste, health, or actual political affiliation.

3. How we use your information

• To run the Game and to save or sync your progress across sessions and devices.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.
• To understand how the Game is played and to improve gameplay and content.
• To respond to your questions or requests.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the EU/UK GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 applies, we rely on:

• Consent — for optional Google Sign-In and any optional communications.
• Performance of a contract — to provide the Game and save your progress at your request.
• Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and improve the Game through pseudonymised analytics.
• Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose data to comply with the law.

5. Service providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the Game. They process data only to provide their service to us, under their own privacy and security terms:

When narrative flavour text is generated, only fictional game context (such as your in-game situation) is sent to the AI provider — not your account details. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.

6. When we may disclose information

• To comply with the law — for example, a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
• Business transfer — if the Game is ever transferred to another operator, your data may be transferred as part of that change, subject to this policy.

7. Cookies and local storage

The Game uses your browser’s local storage for essential purposes only — keeping you signed in and remembering your guest identifier. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because we do not track you across other sites, we do not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

8. Data retention

• Account & game saves: kept while your account/career is active, so you can keep playing, and deleted on request (see your rights below).
• Analytics events: retained for a limited period (currently about 90 days) and then deleted or aggregated.
• Server/security logs: retained only for a short period for security and abuse prevention.

9. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and reputable managed infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International data transfers

Our service providers may store and process data on servers located outside your country (for example, in the United States or the European Union). Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses). By using the Game you understand your data may be processed in these locations.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct inaccurate data;
• delete your account and associated game data;
• receive a copy of your data (portability) or have your saves exported;
• object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
• complain to your data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. These rights apply under the EU/UK GDPR, India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar laws — we honour valid requests regardless of where you live.

12. Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it. A parent or guardian may request access to, or deletion of, a child’s information.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by a notice in the Game.
